These chess pieces meet the World Chess Federation's (FIDE) height and proportions standards for tournament play. They are made from 100% non-toxic, solid silicone. Collectively, the pieces weigh approx. 1.3 lbs. Staunton design has become the standard for tournament play. The pieces are easily distinguishable making for easier play.
