Legend has it that Captain Cook used this game nightly to relax with his fellow shipmates. He spent so much time playing the game, it came to be known as The Captain's Mistress. The cabinet is crafted with brass fittings, olive wood veneer on top, mitered joints and a lustrous, stained finish. Two players take turns strategically placing the solid wooden balls (either natural or dark stained) into the shafts, attempting to be the first player to get 4 of their color placed in a row. The balls can be placed horizontally, vertically or diagonally. At game's end, pull the bottom retaining plank and the hardwood balls will drop back into the cabinet. A unique, high quality gift makes a beautiful accent atop any coffee table or office desk.
  • Wooden coffee table or desktop game
  • Box measures 11.5 x 8.15 x 3.4 inches
  • Olive wood veneer lid, grain will vary naturally
  • Walnut stained mitered box with a framed styled lid

Elegant 4 in a Row

I just received my free sample from WE Games and here is my honest review. This wooden 4 in a row is beautiful. The box stores all the wooden balls neatly to ensure they are not lost. This is a fun game for all ages, and I would highly recommend it.

Unique game

I received a free sample from WE Games of this game. The aesthetic of this game is unique. I’m unsure if this was on purpose or coincidence, but the overall set looks like a treasure chest. The game play is similar to connect-four, but the nice touch of this game is at the end play, the pieces fall into the case, making clean up easy.

Awesome Coffee Table Game!

I just received my free sample of the Captain's Mistress. Wow, what an impressive looking version of 4 in a Row. If you've played Connect4 as a kid, you'll love this game! The game is not only fun but also a great talking piece for your coffee table!
